Ignorance

I have decided to revive this blog, after having dumped it for a while.

Anyway, today I would like to talk about ignorance.
I will first start off by saying, that I myself am crap at school because I spend all my time playing music and also I can't give a shit about my marks. There are many so called "studious" people who go to my school and parade and pose at being very well read and educated. Well then how come one of them thought that rubber (!!!) is a type of metal? There was a girl who claimed that Austria had a Baltic coastline. Another one mistook (This one is a killer) Alexander Stamboliyski, a famous bulgarian politician from the past (in a history test about BULGARIAN history) for Chiang Kai-Shek, the leader of the chinese nationalists.
Why does this occur NOT with the so-called lazy turds, which I myself am thought of, but rather with the teachers' favourite swots? Well it's pretty simple. All they do is swot the stupid school textbooks (which I didn't even buy this year). They learn everything off by heart and repeat it like parrots, and actually no real knowledge enters their pea-sized brains. Sadly this is encouraged by most of our teachers, who are pieces of shit. They want parroted facts, any show of real competence and knowledge (I have suffered from this) gets snubbed and even punished. And then why do people like me stop giving a rat's arse about school......

It's pretty obvious that our school system needs reforming. It's not only about teaching the kids this, that and the other amazing fact about King Smallpenis' Toilet habits or what Otter feces are called. They should be taught to research properly, to THINK and to find information, instead of always copy-pasting from Wikipedia.
I think that we shouldn't have textbooks at school, rather that the teacher should tell the pupils what to read about and then they should look for the information THEMSELVES, instead of relying on some shitty textbook written by some dusty old ex-communist fartbag. But of course independence of though is wxactly what the dusty old communist fartbags don't want.....

Patriotism and Nationalism

This is a topic which I'm sure everyone has talked about already, but here I'm going to be an annoying bastard and chew on it as well.
In Bulgaria, there are two nationalist parties - Ataka (literally -"Attack") and BNS (Bylgarski Nationalen Soyuz - Bulgarian National Union). Supposedly they are patriots. But they are not. Patriotism doesn't mean going around beating your chest like a gorilla and grunting about your country's illustrious history, but rather helping your country and it's people in some way. It doesn't have to be profound. If everyone contributed a little bit, then our country might actually have a chance of becoming at least half as advanced as Western Europe. But the thing is our government is full of traitors. Yes. These people, who steal from our country's money are traitors and should be tried for treason. A public hanging or two wouldn't be a bad thing as it would put off quite a lot of potential thieves like them.
